The Paradox Twin is a British progressive‑rock project created by multi‑instrumentalist and songwriter Danny Sorrell. The band originated from Sorrell’s early studio work, during which he developed the material that would become their debut album. While recording at Outhouse Studios, producer John Mitchell (Frost*, It Bites, Arena) took interest in the project and introduced it to Chris Hillman, co‑founder of the White Star Records label. This led to The Paradox Twin signing with the label and releasing their first album. The band’s debut album, The Importance of Mr. Bedlam, received strong critical attention. Its first single, “Planeta,” was accompanied by a music video that earned a nomination at the Progressive Music Awards even before the album’s official release. The record established the group as a rising name within the UK progressive‑rock scene, noted for its cinematic arrangements and conceptual storytelling. In 2021, The Paradox Twin released their second album, Silence from Signals, which expanded their musical scope and strengthened their reputation across the UK and Europe. The album’s reception led to touring opportunities and increased visibility within the modern prog community. The band’s third studio album, A Romance of Many Dimensions, marks a new phase in their evolution. The release highlights Sorrell’s continued growth as a composer and the ensemble’s expanding musical palette. The album explores broader soundscapes, layered instrumentation and thematic depth, reflecting the band’s ongoing commitment to ambitious, narrative‑driven progressive rock.
