Liquid Visions

Liquid Visions is a psychedelic and space‑rock band formed in Berlin around the turn of 1994/95 by Hans‑Peter Ringholz (guitar, vocals), Dave Schmidt (also known as Sula Bassana, bass), Robert Terkhany (guitar, vocals) and Markus Rometsch (drums). Over the years the group underwent numerous lineup changes while shaping a sound that fused garage‑rock energy, fuzz‑driven guitars and extended space‑rock improvisations. Their live shows were typically accompanied by elaborate light‑show concepts, reinforcing the band’s immersive, trippy aesthetic. The band quickly became active on stage. By 1996, the lineup—still featuring Ringholz, Terkhany and Schmidt—had expanded to include Alex Bulgrin (vocals), Mike Ostrich (organ) and drummer Wolfgang Seidel. Their self‑titled debut album appeared in 1998 on Nasoni Records. A live release, Endless Plasmatic Childhood Overdose, followed in 2000, presenting three extended tracks. Around this time, Katja Wolf joined the group, contributing organ and theremin while also performing a blacklight dance show with fluorescent body paint during concerts, adding a distinctive visual dimension to the band’s performances.
