The Hobo Blues Band (HBB) was a major force in the Hungarian blues‑rock scene from 1978 to 2011. Founded by singer and lyricist László “Hobo” Földes, the group became known for blending blues, rock and roll, hard rock, and traditional blues influences into a distinctive sound.
In their early years the band performed music by The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones before developing their own style, shaped by Földes’ artistic vision and the band’s growing musical identity. Over the decades HBB became one of Hungary’s most influential blues‑rock acts, building a loyal following and leaving a lasting mark on the region’s music culture.
