Todd Michael Chapman grew up in Western New York and developed into a rock singer‑songwriter shaped by the spirit of the rust belt. His music blends blues‑driven and rock‑oriented guitar work with melodies that lean toward modern country. He received his first guitar at the age of seven from his aunt, learned his earliest chords from a cousin who played bass, and began writing his own songs during his early teenage years. Throughout high school he was active as a singer, performing in his school’s select chorus as well as in several church folk groups. As a senior, he started playing club shows in and around Buffalo, New York. By nineteen he had recorded a number of original songs, one of which earned airplay on 97 Rock, a Buffalo radio station known for featuring local talent during a weekly music segment. Chapman continued performing in Western New York venues into his mid‑twenties. Eventually he stepped away from music, moved to Phoenix, Arizona, and focused on raising a family and building a career in the technology field.
