Blindstone is a Danish rock trio formed in 2002 in Thisted. Known for their guitar‑driven sound, the band has released a steady stream of albums through Grooveyard Records, building a reputation for powerful riffs, tight musicianship, and a blend of original material with select reinterpretations of classic rock and blues artists. The current lineup features guitarist and vocalist Martin J. Andersen, bassist Jesper Bunk, and drummer Anders Hvidtfeldt, who joined shortly after the debut release.
Beyond their own catalog, Andersen and Bunk contributed guitar and bass to George Clinton’s 2005 album How Late Do U Have 2BB4UR Absent?, appearing on a cover of “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On.” Several Blindstone albums have earned strong critical praise, with Freedom’s Calling and Rise Above receiving standout reviews from international music publications. Guest appearances from respected musicians such as Ty Tabor and Poul Halberg have further highlighted the band’s connection to the wider rock community. With numerous releases and a loyal following, Blindstone remains a prominent force in modern Scandinavian rock.
