Caroline Aiken is a highly respected American singer‑songwriter and guitarist whose career spans decades and continents. Born in Atlanta and later raised between Georgia, New York, the West Coast, South America, and Europe, she built her reputation through constant touring, powerful live performances, and a deep commitment to acoustic and folk music. Her expressive voice, skilled guitar work, and heartfelt songwriting made her a central figure in Atlanta’s acoustic scene, where she also mentored younger artists such as the Indigo Girls and Shawn Mullins.
Over the years, Aiken has performed alongside an impressive list of artists, including Bonnie Raitt, Muddy Waters, Doc Watson, Arlo Guthrie, Randy Newman, Little Feat, Janis Ian, and Richie Havens. She has appeared at festivals, concert series, radio programs, and workshops across the United States and Europe. Her ninth album, Broken Wings Heal (2015), features collaborations with Emily Saliers, John Keane, Michelle Malone, Ike Stubblefield, and Randall Bramblett, and was supported by a national tour with the Indigo Girls. Recognized in her hometown as “Best Acoustic Act,” Aiken continues to record, teach, and tour internationally, carrying forward a lifelong musical journey she describes as a “Perpetual Instructional Path Towards Gratitude.”.
