Incubus

Incubus is an American rock band from Calabasas, California. The band was formed in 1991 by vocalist Brandon Boyd, lead guitarist Mike Einziger, and drummer José Pasillas while they were students at Calabasas High School. The lineup later expanded to include bassist Alex “Dirk Lance” Katunich and DJ Gavin “DJ Lyfe” Koppel; both were eventually replaced by bassist Ben Kenney and DJ Chris Kilmore. Nicole Row replaced Kenney in 2024. After releasing their first two albums, Fungus Amongus (1995) and S.C.I.E.N.C.E. (1997), Incubus achieved mainstream success with their 1999 album Make Yourself, which produced several hit singles, including the U.S. Top 10 hit “Drive.” The album was certified double platinum in the United States. Their success continued with Morning View (2001) and A Crow Left of the Murder… (2004), both debuting at number 2 on the Billboard 200. Their sixth studio album, Light Grenades (2006), became their first to debut at number 1 in the U.S. In 2009, the band released their first greatest‑hits compilation, Monuments and Melodies. Two years later, they issued their seventh studio album, If Not Now, When?, which debuted at number 2 in the U.S. Incubus released the EP Trust Fall (Side A) in early 2015, followed by their eighth studio album 8 on April 21, 2017. A second EP, Trust Fall (Side B), was released on April 17, 2020. As of October 2022, Incubus has generated 12.4 million U.S. album consumption units and sold over 23 million records worldwide. The band has received numerous award nominations, including from the Billboard Music Awards, American Music Awards, and the Grammy Awards.
