Toy Factory Project

Paul T. Riddle, Grammy‑winning drummer and co‑founder of the original Marshall Tucker Band, created the Toy Factory Project as a tribute to his late bandmate Toy Caldwell. What began as a personal homage grew into a powerhouse ensemble of top‑tier musicians, each bringing their own legacy to Caldwell’s enduring Southern rock classics. Songs like “Can’t You See,” “Heard It in a Love Song,” “Searching for a Rainbow,” and “This Old Cowboy” helped define the Marshall Tucker Band’s rise and remain staples of American rock culture. The Toy Factory Project celebrates that history with new energy and deep respect. Riddle leads the group with his signature drive, joined by an exceptional lineup:
Marcus King – guitar, steel guitar, vocals; known for his fiery playing and soulful delivery
Oteil Burbridge – bass, vocals; a two‑time Grammy winner with a gift for rich, improvisational grooves
Charlie Starr – guitar, vocals; frontman of Blackberry Smoke and a modern voice of Southern rock
Josh Shilling – piano, organ, vocals; a versatile Nashville artist whose work spans bluegrass, country and rock. Together, they honor Toy Caldwell’s legacy with performances that keep his music alive for new generations.
See for more.
