Maat Lander is an instrumental psychedelic and space‑rock trio formed through a collaboration between Ilya Lipkin, guitarist of The Re‑Stoned, and brothers Arkadiy and Ivan Fedotov, known for their work with the Russian progressive‑psychedelic group Vespero. The musicians first performed together in 2013, when Lipkin appeared as a guest during a Vespero concert in Moscow. Their shared musical interests led to continued creative exchange after the event. In December 2014, Lipkin traveled to Astrakhan to rehearse and test new material with the Fedotov brothers in a live setting. The performance was well received and effectively marked the formation of the new ensemble. The trio adopted the name Maat Lander and began working as a dedicated project. The group released its debut album, The Birth of Maat’s Galaxy, in 2015 through R.A.I.G. Records. The recording introduced their characteristic blend of psychedelic improvisation, space‑rock atmospheres, and instrumental exploration. For followers of the genre, Arkadiy and Ivan Fedotov were already familiar figures due to their long‑standing involvement with Vespero, while Lipkin contributed his established reputation from The Re‑Stoned.
