Danielle Nicole Band

Danielle Nicole is an American blues and soul vocalist, bassist, and songwriter from Kansas City, Missouri. Known for her powerful voice and dynamic stage presence, she has become one of the leading figures in contemporary blues and roots music. Nicole first gained recognition as a member of the family band Trampled Under Foot before establishing a successful solo career with multiple chart‑topping releases. Raised in a musical family, Nicole was surrounded by blues, soul, and classic American roots music from an early age. Her father played blues guitar, and her mother performed with the vocal group Little Eva & The Works. These influences shaped her artistic direction and laid the foundation for her future work. Together with her brothers Nick and Kris, she formed Trampled Under Foot, a band that built a strong following in the Midwest and later toured internationally. The group released several albums and DVDs and became known for its blend of blues, rock, and soul. Nicole launched her solo career in 2015 with the album Wolf Den, which reached high positions on the Billboard Blues chart and earned millions of streams across digital platforms. Her follow‑up album, Cry No More (2018), debuted at number one on the Billboard Blues chart and received a Grammy nomination in the Contemporary Blues category. In 2024, she released The Love You Bleed, which again reached number one on major digital and physical blues charts, including Billboard Blues, Amazon, and iTunes. Throughout her career, Nicole has received significant recognition within the American blues community. She has been inducted into the Kansas Music Hall of Fame and has earned multiple Blues Music Awards for her vocal work, bass playing, and songwriting. Her collaborations include a duet with Dion on “I Aim to Please,” and her music has been featured in the theatrical film Which Brings Me to You.
