The origins of the Laura Cox Band trace back to 2011, when guitarist and vocalist Laura Cox met fellow guitarist Mathieu Albiac. Over the next two years, the pair wrote and developed material together, shaping the musical direction that would define the project. In 2013, they completed the lineup by recruiting bassist Ludovic Ossard and drummer Pascal Robert, forming a stable quartet. With the full band in place, the group began establishing its identity through energetic live performances and a blend of classic rock, blues and modern hard‑driving guitar work. From that point onward, the band set out to bring its sound and stage presence to audiences across France and, increasingly, to listeners beyond its national borders.
