Lari Basilio is a Brazilian guitarist, songwriter and producer recognized for her melodic approach to instrumental rock. Guitar World has described her as “one of the most exciting names in instrumental rock” and “one of today’s most tasteful guitar virtuosos,” reflecting her growing international reputation. Basilio began her musical path performing in bands and church ensembles in Brazil. Her solo career started in 2011 with the release of her self‑titled instrumental EP, featuring Angra bassist Felipe Andreoli and produced by five‑time Latin Grammy winner Lampadinha. Her second major project, the album and DVD The Sound of My Room, appeared in August 2015 and premiered at the historic Cine Belas Artes cinema in São Paulo. Far More (2019) Her third album, Far More, was recorded at Capitol Studios in Los Angeles with an all‑star lineup: Vinnie Colaiuta – drums, Nathan East – bass, Greg Phillinganes – keyboards/piano. The album includes guest appearances by Joe Satriani (“Glimpse of Light”) and Siedah Garrett (“Man in the Mirror,” for which Basilio created a new arrangement). The record was produced by Basilio and Rodrigo Rios. In 2022, Basilio released Your Love, recorded at United Recording Studios in Los Angeles. The album again features Vinnie Colaiuta, alongside bassists Sean Hurley and Leland Sklar, and keyboardist Ester Na. Her album Redemption was released on May 16, 2025, recorded at EastWest Studios in Los Angeles. Basilio began her musical path performing in bands and church ensembles in Brazil.
