Murat Hammond is a European musician with Turkish roots, based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. From his own studio he produces a wide range of music, with the Hammond organ at the center of his sound. On stage he combines live playing with software instruments and performs using a custom‑modified whammy clavinet, which has become one of his signature tools. Murat’s work spans multiple genres, from Hammond‑driven R&B and jazz to electronic and experimental music. Alongside his musical career, he is also an agricultural engineer — a field in which his creativity proves equally valuable. In addition to numerous collaborations with other artists and ensembles, Murat has performed extensively with his own group, the Murat Hammond Quartet. The quartet has appeared at festivals and special venues throughout the Netherlands, across Europe, and as far abroad as Singapore and Turkey.
