Earthside is an American progressive metal and cinematic rock group known for its expansive compositions, collaborative approach and emphasis on emotional and conceptual depth. The band first gained international attention with their 2015 debut album A Dream in Static, a release noted for its ambitious songwriting, diverse guest vocalists and a production style that blended progressive metal with orchestral and atmospheric elements. Formed by a group of musicians with a shared interest in progressive music and modern classical influences, Earthside approached their debut with a focus on expressive arrangements and detailed craftsmanship. A Dream in Static established the band as a rising force within the progressive scene, earning critical praise for its scope and musical maturity. After an extended creative period marked by extensive writing, recording and refinement, Earthside released their second album Let the Truth Speak. The project was developed over several years, including during the global pandemic, and ultimately expanded to nearly eighty minutes of music. The album features a wide range of international guest vocalists and instrumentalists, reflecting the band’s interest in global collaboration and diverse artistic perspectives. According to the band, the new record represents a shift from working primarily with established influences and musical heroes toward highlighting emerging voices and artists from different backgrounds. This approach allowed Earthside to explore broader stylistic territory and take greater creative risks.
