OHGOD! is a South African post‑experimental metal band formed in July 2013 by three former members of the group Lane Evermore. Based in Cape Town, the band quickly became active on the local live circuit, developing a reputation for energetic performances and a distinctive instrumental sound. Their debut release, the four‑track EP Forest Feuds, appeared in March 2015 as a self‑published recording. The original lineup featured: Stefan Steyn – guitar, David Houston – guitar, Danny Harris – drums Mark Woolfrey – bass. OHGOD! describe their style as “Ghost Rock,” a hybrid that incorporates elements of progressive metal, alternative rock, post‑rock and shoegaze. Their music is characterized by layered guitar work, dynamic shifts and atmospheric textures, blending heaviness with melodic and ambient passages.
