Stuckfish

Stuckfish is a melodic progressive rock band from the North East of England, formed in 2017 by guitarist and producer Adrian Fisher and vocalist and lyricist Philip Stuckey. The collaboration began as a songwriting partnership that quickly developed into a full band project. Their debut album, Calling, released in 2018, received strong critical attention and introduced the group’s blend of melodic rock, narrative songwriting and progressive elements. The band expanded its musical scope with the concept‑driven album The Watcher in 2020, followed by Days of Innocence in 2022, which was widely praised within progressive rock circles and appeared on several year‑end lists. Stuckfish’s music is characterised by memorable melodies, layered arrangements and a willingness to explore unconventional structures while maintaining an accessible sound. On stage, the group is known for energetic performances that bridge melodic rock and modern neo‑prog, combining emotional vocal delivery with dynamic instrumental interplay. Stuckey and Fisher are joined by drummer Adam Sayers, bassist Phil Morey and keyboardist Paul McNally, a lineup that has strengthened the band’s presence within the contemporary progressive rock community.
