The origins of Light of Darkness trace back to the early 1960s with the band The Tremors. Bassist Mike Reoch and guitarist Byron Grant later continued their musical path in the late 1960s, becoming active in the lively club circuit of Germany. Together with fellow Scotsman John Latimer and German musician Manfred Bebert, they formed Light of Darkness, a group known for its raw, soulful energy infused with touches of psychedelic rock. Although their time together was brief, the band left a small but distinctive mark on the European underground scene, blending British rock influences with the experimental spirit of the era.
