Disperse is a progressive rock and metal band originally formed in Przeworsk, Poland, known for combining advanced technical musicianship with a light, fluid and melodic approach. Although the group is often noted for its instrumental precision, Disperse distinguishes itself primarily through songwriting that balances complexity with accessibility. The band’s sound blends intricate rhythmic structures, syncopated patterns and shifting time signatures with an airy, melodic sensibility. Their music often moves with an effortless flow, making sophisticated arrangements feel natural and unforced. Over the years, Disperse has incorporated influences ranging from progressive rock and metal to jazz, ambient and atmospheric music. Their third full‑length album, Foreword, represents a further refinement of this style. The record expands on the direction established on their earlier release Living Mirrors, integrating elements reminiscent of artists such as Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, and Cynic, while shaping these inspirations into a distinctive and modern sound. Disperse was founded in 2007 and released its debut album Journey Through the Hidden Gardens in 2010. Prior to the album, the band had issued a single demo, Promo 2008, which helped establish their reputation as a strong live act. Their performances at festivals such as GO‑Rock, UK Tech‑Metal Fest, and Euroblast further solidified their standing within the progressive community.
