Imperial Age is a Russian symphonic power metal band now based in Northampton, England. The group was formed in Moscow in 2012 by singers and composers Alexander “Aor” Osipov and Jane “Corn” Odintsova. Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the founders left Russia, first relocating to Turkey and later to the United Kingdom. The current lineup is made up largely of British musicians, and the band primarily performs in English. In January 2023, Jane and Alexander were endorsed by Arts Council England as Exceptional Talents. While living in Turkey, they applied for UK residency, supported by a fan‑funded campaign that raised £21,419. Their residency was approved by the UK Home Office, and they moved to London on 17 April 2023. Imperial Age has collaborated multiple times with musicians from Therion and Arkona, who appear across all of the band’s albums.
