Davy Knowles is a distinctive modern blues and roots guitarist whose style is instantly recognizable whether he’s playing acoustic, mandolin, National steel, or full‑throttle electric guitar. He first gained international attention with Back Door Slam’s 2007 debut Roll Away, and his momentum has only grown since. His follow‑up album was produced by Peter Frampton, and Knowles has toured or shared the stage with major artists including Jeff Beck, The Who, Joe Bonamassa, Lynyrd Skynyrd, George Thorogood, Brian Setzer, Chickenfoot, and Joe Satriani, who called him “my favorite modern bluesman.”
Knowles has earned multiple top‑5 Billboard Blues chart placements, appeared on major TV shows such as Jimmy Kimmel Live and CBS Good Morning America, and received praise from both press and musical heroes. He also made history as the first artist to perform live for the International Space Station from NASA’s Mission Control, with astronauts even taking his music into orbit on their missions.
