Each of the multi-instrumentalists that make up the lineup – Chris Smith (vocals, guitar, bass, keys), James Porter (guitar, keys, bass), Ian Winkler (bass, keys, guitar) and Jamie Turner (drums, percussion) – worked on their own songs before reconvening and discovering how all of the puzzle pieces fit together.
