Frank Van Der Kloot

Frank van der Kloot is a guitarist from The Hague who first came to notice in the early 1970s. He recorded a self‑titled album with the band Drama in 1972, followed a year later by a release with the related project Fontessa. The name of that group later inspired the title of his 1976 solo album Fontessa, issued on the Poker label. After releasing a second album in 1978 with a band carrying his own name, he adopted the spelling Vandenkloot for his next solo record in 1979. Alongside his band work, he also contributed guitar parts to Only Parrots, Frogs and Angels (1972), the solo album by Golden Earring frontman Barry Hay.  Frank Vanderkloot died in October 2020.
