Rogerio Peixoto (pronounced pay‑show‑to) is a Brazilian guitarist, educator and designer based in Thousand Oaks, California. He began playing guitar at the age of twelve and quickly became comfortable with both electric and acoustic styles. Later, he developed a solid classical foundation while studying at the State Conservatory of Goiás in Brazil. Alongside his musical training, Rogerio earned a degree in Architecture and became a young university instructor, teaching Geometry and Technical Drawing at the Catholic University of Goiás. In 2005 he moved to the United States to attend the renowned Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) in Hollywood, California, where he focused on composition and improvisation. In 2008 he released his first solo guitar EP, The Sound of Hope, featuring works by Brazilian, Spanish and Mexican composers. In 2009 Rogerio returned to Brazil, and later relocated to Spain, where he completed a Master’s degree at the University of Granada. He then spent a short period in Paris to further develop his language skills.
