Dominic Sanderson is a progressive rock musician from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, whose work draws on influences from classic British progressive acts such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd, Marillion, and contemporary artists including Steven Wilson. Known for his multi‑instrumental abilities and conceptual writing style, Sanderson has emerged as one of the notable young voices in modern progressive music. Sanderson first gained attention with the release of the Discarded Memories EP, which showcased his ability to write, arrange and perform complete compositions independently. The single “Empty Circles and Grains of Sand”, recorded and mixed during the COVID‑19 pandemic, highlighted his multi‑instrumental approach and meticulous production style. In February 2023, Sanderson released his debut full‑length album Impermanence, a conceptual work rooted in the sound and spirit of 1970s progressive rock while incorporating modern production and contemporary sensibilities.
