Aphodyl

Aphodyl is a self‑taught, joy‑driven psychedelic and krautrock band whose music is shaped by spontaneity, authenticity and an unfiltered love of playing together. Since the beginning, the group has embraced a simple motto: music should be fun — an “aphodylic imperative.” The band’s roots go back to 1 January 2008, when musicians from several local projects joined forces: Arno and Bee from Burning Out, Holli and Bee from Cry Out, and André from Silvastorm. After playing together frequently, the group officially adopted the name Aphodyl on 30 April 2010. From that moment until 2017, the line‑up consisted of: Biene (keyboards, drums, theremin), Holli (drums, guitar, vocals), Arno (bass), André (guitar). A deep loss struck the band when Holli passed away on 14 September 2018 — a moment that left a lasting impact on the group and its community. Aphodyl continues in his honor, keeping his musical spirit alive. Since 2021, Mike has taken over on drums, and Yvi joined as vocalist. In June 2025, Yvi left to focus on her own business, and the band thanked her warmly for her years of support. For the 2025 live shows, Didi from Pack of Bones will handle vocals, with future plans still evolving.
