Naxatras

Naxatras is a Greek psychedelic rock band known for a warm, analog‑driven sound shaped by heavy grooves, fluid melodies, thick riffs and expansive guitar improvisations inspired by the 1970s. The group has been active since 2012, steadily refining their style through constant writing, recording and touring. In 2015, the band recorded their self‑titled debut album at Magnetic Fidelity, working with engineer Jesus I. Agnew. The sessions were carried out entirely with analog equipment, from tracking to mixing and mastering, and all songs were performed live in a single day. The album became one of the most successful releases within its scene and received widespread praise. The following year, Naxatras released their second full‑length album, II, along with an EP. In 2017, they issued the single “All the Stars Collide Into a Single Ray” and recorded their third album using the same fully analog, live‑performance approach. Their third record, III, appeared in 2018, followed by a live album captured during their sold‑out show at Gagarin 205 in Athens. For their fourth album, the band brought in multi‑instrumentalist Pantelis Kargas to handle keyboards and synthesizers. The artwork was once again created by long‑time collaborator Chris RW, whose visual style has accompanied all of their releases. The album IV was released on 25 February 2022.
