Zepparella

Clementine is the founder and driving force behind Zepparella. From the beginning of her career, she set her sights on a life onstage, which led her through a wide range of American and European rock projects. Her playing blends powerful rock drumming with a distinct soul and Motown influence, a feel that aligns naturally with the groove‑oriented style of John Bonham. Within Zepparella, she forms a tight musical unit with guitarist Gretchen Menn, bassist Holly West, and vocalist Anna Kristina, a collaboration that allows the band to perform the Led Zeppelin repertoire with both respect and individuality. Guitarist Gretchen Menn began her musical training under classical guitarist Phillip DeFremery, a student of Andrés Segovia. Her musical projects are known for their broad stylistic approach, combining elements of rock, classical, progressive music, jazz, and metal. Although she draws inspiration from players such as Eric Johnson, Steve Morse, Frank Zappa, and Jeff Beck, the music of Led Zeppelin remains her earliest and most enduring influence. Jimmy Page’s playing was her gateway into guitar‑driven music and ultimately into the instrument itself. Bassist Holly West began her musical path later than many, yet developed into a remarkably strong player in a short time. A self‑taught musician, she combines a firm attack with a natural sense of timing and groove. Alongside her bass work, she is also growing as a rock vocalist with a powerful voice. Onstage she is known for her energetic presence and playful performance style. Her musical influences span the rock spectrum, from Clutch and Rival Sons to Slash, ZZ Top, and of course Led Zeppelin.
