Believe is a Polish progressive‑rock band founded in the mid‑2000s by guitarist and composer Mirek (Mirosław) Gil, known for his earlier work with Collage, Mr. Gil, and Ananke. The group developed a distinctive form of neo‑progressive rock that blends melodic, emotional arrangements with occasional heavier elements. The early lineup featured Tomasz Rozcki (vocals, guitar), Adam Miłosz (keyboards, additional harmonies), Przemysław Zawadzki (bass), Vlodi Tafel (drums), and Satomi (violin). Lyricist Robert Sieradzki also played a key creative role, contributing to the band’s thematic direction and textual identity. Believe released their debut album, Hope to See Another Day, in 2006. The record introduced the band’s characteristic sound: a mixture of melancholic neo‑prog reminiscent of Gil’s earlier work with Collage, combined with a more modern, occasionally harder edge. The interplay between guitar, violin, and atmospheric keyboards became one of the group’s defining features. Emerging from Poland’s vibrant progressive‑rock scene, Believe gained recognition among fans of Collage, Satellite, and contemporary European neo‑prog, establishing themselves as a notable contributor to the genre’s continued evolution.
