BBM (short for Baker Bruce Moore) was a short‑lived British power trio formed in 1993 by three established musicians: bassist and vocalist Jack Bruce, guitarist Gary Moore, and drummer Ginger Baker. Bruce and Baker had previously played together in Cream, while Bruce and Moore had collaborated earlier on Moore’s album Corridors of Power. The group released one studio album, Around the Next Dream, issued by Virgin Records. The album reached number 9 on the UK Albums Chart in the summer of 1994 and remained on the chart for four weeks. The single “Where in the World” peaked at number 57 in the UK Singles Chart. Most of the material was written by Moore, with contributions from Bruce, Baker and percussionist Kip Hanrahan. The album cover featured a photograph of Baker depicted as an angel smoking a cigarette. To promote the album, BBM embarked on a short UK tour and appeared at several European rock festivals. Despite the strong musical pedigree of its members, the collaboration was brief, and the band disbanded shortly after the promotional cycle.
