Scotty Meyer Band

Scotty Meyer, originally from Waupun, Wisconsin, began his musical path in 1992. He first spent two years on bass before switching to electric guitar, where he found his true voice. His early inspirations included Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, and Joe Bonamassa — influences that helped shape his energetic, blues‑driven style. In 1998, Meyer formed the Scotty Meyer Band, initially focused on blues before expanding into classic rock, pop, and country. After relocating to the Fox Valley, he joined Sonic Circus as lead guitarist in 2006. The band earned multiple nominations and ultimately won the WAMI Award for Cover Band of the Year in 2009. Meyer also performed with Geoff Landon and the Wolfpack, winners of the WAMI Country Band of the Year in both 2008 and 2009. In 2009, he added yet another chapter to his career by joining the polka group The Happy Schnapp’s Combo as lead guitarist under the name Sgt. Roxzoff. The band is known for regional favorites such as “Fleet Farm” and “Da Bear’s Still Suck.”
