Saint Deamon is a Scandinavian power metal band formed in 2006 by former Dionysus drummer Ronny Milianowicz and vocalist‑composer Tobias Lundgren. The project soon expanded with the addition of multi‑instrumentalist guitarists Ragnar Widerberg (Witherscape) and Toya Johansson, establishing the group’s early creative core. In 2007, both Lundgren and Widerberg stepped away from the project, prompting a reorganization of the lineup. The band was subsequently completed by vocalist Jan Thore Grefstad (ex‑Highland Glory) and bassist Nobby Noberg (ex‑Nation, Dionysus). That same year, Saint Deamon signed a worldwide recording contract with Frontiers Records, leading to the release of two studio albums: In Shadows Lost from the Brave (2008) and Pandeamonium (2009). Following these releases, the band undertook extensive touring across Europe, performing from the North Cape to southern regions of the continent. A highlight of this period was their appearance at the ProgPower USA festival in Atlanta, which helped expand their international profile. In early 2011, founding drummer Ronny Milianowicz departed from the band. For the remaining live dates that year, drummer Oscar Nilsson (ENGEL) stepped in, marking his first appearance with the group during the “Roadtrip to Norway Rock 2011” performances. Nilsson remained with Saint Deamon until 2015, when increasing commitments to ENGEL and his growing workload at Crehate Studios required him to step aside.
