Message To Bears is the musical project of English composer and multi‑instrumentalist Jerome Alexander, known for blending elements of folk, ambient and electronic music. His work is characterized by layered soundscapes built from acoustic guitar, piano, strings, electronics, field recordings and soft, understated vocals. Alexander released his debut EP, EP1, in 2007. His first full‑length album, Departures, followed in 2009 through Dead Pilot Records. This collaboration continued with the 2012 album Folding Leaves, issued in partnership with both Dead Pilot Records and Nature Bliss and released on CD and vinyl. Also in 2012, Alexander released the electronic‑leaning Moments EP through Sound In Silence Records, marking the first time he issued music under his own name. Message To Bears began performing live between London and Oxford in 2009, gradually expanding to concerts across Europe. Alexander’s music is often noted for its emotive, cinematic quality, combining organic instrumentation with subtle electronic textures. Based between Bristol and London, he continues to develop his sound within the broader landscape of contemporary ambient and post‑folk music.
