Julia Lange, a 20‑year‑old guitarist from Babenhausen/Langstadt, has earned numerous awards at both national and international competitions. Although she began her musical training in classical guitar, she later developed a strong passion for steel‑string fingerstyle. Her distinctive arrangements — blending modern percussive techniques with classical precision — have attracted millions of views on YouTube and established her as a rising acoustic talent. Her performances have already taken her to countries such as Poland, France, Spain, and Hong Kong, and she was invited by Deutsche Grammophon to accompany soprano Nadine Sierra during live appearances in Berlin. Her crossover approach has also gained increasing attention on television. A feature about her aired on MainTV in 2015, and she later appeared on MDR to demonstrate a guitar built with thermo‑treated wood. She showcased her versatility on ARTE’s Stars of Tomorrow, performing alongside tenor Rolando Villazón, and she was interviewed on The Works on RTHK in Hong Kong. In late 2018, both Sat.1 and Hessenschau highlighted her work.
